Gemion Function is a fast-paced fighting game that combines a hectic 4-player battle system along with the classic motion input control system of traditional 2D fighting games.
8 characters each with their own special moves, combos, a "Unique Movement" mechanic that varies for each character (roll canceling, air dash, flight, teleport, special stances, and more). More characters to be added over time
Offline modes of:
Versus mode vs AI
Versus mode vs Human (in Early Access currently, the 2nd player needs to use keyboard controls)
20 Combo Trials for 7 of the playable characters
Team battle system:
Supporting up to 4 players (1v1, 2v2, or even 1v2)
Each team selects a Gem to help aid them. There are currently 4 Gems:
Havoc Gem = high damage
Gravity Gem = strong control
Aegis Gem = anti-projectile
Cortex Gem = Super meter and throw mix-ups
Smooth online play with rollback netcode via integration with the "GGPO Rollback Network SDK"
Online lobby functionality with Steam API supporting actions such as:
Creating public and private lobbies
Sending and accepting invites from Steam chat
Searching for public lobbies
Resource management with a shared team super meter for universal actions such as EX Special Moves (aka enhanced moves) and Burst (aka combo breakers)
Classic control scheme with inputs for special moves for quarter-circles, half-circles, dragon punch, and more
End-of-game statistics showing the player(s) who scored the best in 14 different categories (including most damage, most KO's, most Parries, least damage taken, most EX moves used, and more)
6 stages using 2.5D graphics with 3D models for characters and projectiles on a 2D fighting plane, powered by Unreal Engine. More stages will also be added over time
