Ecto Mercenary Program is a sci-fi looter shooter where you and your friends form a mercenary group to forge a path for yourselves. Rise from a destitute crew fighting raiders for scraps to a feared force on the station. Survival is not guaranteed.
Your group starts extremely poor with barely enough to afford the bare necessities in staying alive. On the way up, you and your friends get to:
Complete Contracts. Curry favor with the more powerful factions in the station. Get access to technologies that only they have, and areas they control.
Upgrade and maintain equipment. Equipment you have will degrade overtime. Repairing old equipment comes at the risk of permanently degrading them unless materials are provided. Weigh the risks between bringing cheap disposable crap for a mission or more expensive and powerful gear!
Story
A joint project between the most powerful corporations on earth and the United West and East powers spawned the largest space station ever devised. Powered by a marvelous new form of energy: ectoplasmic energy. The densest core ever created. Capable of empowering nanites to complete incredibly complex and difficult tasks, it had started a new era of research and development. One that went horribly, horribly, wrong, deep in the bowels of that station. You were born after the core became unstable, after the radiation began to leak, after the experiments went awry, after the very bones of society started melting under the pressure of the onslaught. But humans adapt. Will you?
